Conjunctivitis


Conjunctivitis is defined as inflammation of conjunctiva.
It may be due to bacteria,virus or parasitic infections.
conjunctiva becomes injected.
Signs
  • Mucopurulent discharge from conjunctiva.
  • lacrimation from one or both eyes noticed.
Treatment
  • The eye ointment should be applied.
  • Normal saline can be used for flushing of purulent discharge from eyes.
  • Antibiotics is required for bacterial infections.
